Body Ready Method®

Shifting the paradigm of prenatal prep and birth care by focusing on alignment, mobility, and movement.

Your body holds the wisdom for pregnancy and birth—by tuning into breath, movement, and balance, you can embrace these profound changes with greater ease and trust.

Carrying and birthing a baby are among the most intricate and powerful physiological undertakings a human body can experience.

Organs shift, ligaments stretch, blood volume increases, and the nervous system rewires itself in preparation for bringing new life into the world. In birth, the body performs an intricate dance of muscles, hormones, and movement, all working in harmony to open and release. Yet, in modern life, we often move in ways that disrupt this natural process—prolonged sitting, stress-driven tension, and muscle imbalances can all create barriers to the smooth unfolding of labor.

This proactive apprach offers relief from pregnancy discomforts, encourages optimal fetal positioning, and helps to minimize birth-related injuries.

How You Can Learn and Benefit from BRM®

The Body Ready Method® offers two ways to integrate this powerful approach into your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum recovery:

Self-Paced Online Learning with BRM® Programs

Body Ready Method® offers three targeted, online programs for each stage of your journey into parenthood.

Body Ready Prenatal is for staying active and pain free during pregnancy and preparing your body for your best possible pregnancy, birth and recovery.

Body Ready Birth is for intentionally training your pelvis and body for your best possible birth. We teach you specific movements that create optimal space during birth for a safer and more efficient experience. It educates you and your partner about birth positions, how to know when to do what, and how to make the process easier.

Body Ready Postpartum supports your recovery from day 1 after birth for your first 6 months postpartum. We have gentle movement practices that you can start the day after birth which progress in intensity as you move ahead in your postpartum recovery. This helps the core, pelvic floor and whole body recover from pregnancy and birth.

Working with a Certified BRM® Professional

While online programs offer incredible tools, working one-on-one with a BRM® Certified Pro brings a whole new level of personalized support. As a BRM® professional, I provide:

  • Individualized Assessments – We look at your unique movement patterns, areas of tension, and alignment to find ways to optimize your body’s balance and readiness for birth.
  • Hands-On Guidance – During pregnancy, I help guide you through movement techniques, positional adjustments, and tools to support your body’s needs.
  • Birth Support – I incorporate BRM® strategies in labor, offering position suggestions and hands-on techniques to help your baby navigate the pelvis more efficiently.
  • Postpartum Recovery Tools – After birth, I provide gentle movement and recovery strategies to support pelvic floor function, core reactivation, and full-body integration.

Melissa Morgan – Waimea Doula

A BRM®-Empowered Doula

As a pregnancy and childbirth doula and certified BRM® Pro, I help clients proactively prepare their bodies for birth with intentional movement, hands-on techniques, and strategic positioning. I offer assessments, tools, and movement strategies to help you find balance, comfort, and strength during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period.

As a part of my doula service, I offer a full body assessment to help you proactively prepare your body for birth while optimizing your comfort during pregnancy. Weʻll focus on your pelvis, pelvic floor, core, upper body mobility and your movement patterns to help you find balance, mobility, and strength during pregnancy and beyond.

Utilizing what we discover about your body during the assessment, I’ll create an individualized series of movements and targeted recommendations specifically for you. Armed with an understanding of your body’s movement patterns and alignment, we prepare for and meet your birth with a dynamic set of tools to help you optimize your experience and minimize interventions and injuries.

Standalone BRM® Sessions

Outside of my doula work, I’m also available to work with you and your unique body to help you prepare for your best possible pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience. With a deep understanding of how the birthing body works, I help you move through pregnancy and labor with greater ease, efficiency, and confidence—all while reducing the likelihood of medical interventions.

Initial Consultation – $200
This 90-minute assessment session is designed to help you build awareness, balance, and confidence in your body as you prepare for pregnancy, birth, and postpartum recovery.

We’ll begin by discussing your goals, health history, prior birth experiences, and daily movement patterns. From there, I’ll guide you through a body alignment assessment to help you better understand how your posture, movement, and positioning can support a more functional pregnancy, smoother labor, and easier recovery.

Together, we’ll explore targeted strategies that align with your specific needs and concerns—whether that’s optimizing comfort, improving balance and mobility, or creating space for your baby to navigate the pelvis during labor. My goal is to provide practical, actionable guidance that feels manageable and empowering, rather than overwhelming.

Two-Session Package – $275
This package includes both: a 90-minute initial session (as described above) and an hour-long follow-up session to assess progress and refine your movement strategies

In the follow-up, we’ll revisit your pelvic floor mobility, core engagement, breathing patterns, and any new concerns that arise as your pregnancy progresses. I’ll also share additional tools, techniques, and exercises to help you prevent or minimize common pregnancy discomforts and continue preparing for an efficient birth and smoother postpartum recovery.

Additional Sessions – $100 per session
For ongoing support, additional sessions allow us to further refine your alignment, movement patterns, and birth preparation. These are especially helpful for troubleshooting discomforts, adjusting movement strategies as your pregnancy progresses, or revisiting postpartum recovery techniques.
